 Dr. Walter Rödig, an independent European consultant and author on global industrial trucks, ranks Crown Equipment Corporation as the fifth largest lift truck company in the world.
Crown maintained its fifth place standing in Rödig's 2002-2003 analysis of motorized industrial trucks, now in its 23rd edition. Wolfgang Degenhard co-authored the world rankings with Rödig, a well-known German analyst.
A family-owned company, Crown remains the only manufacturer among the leaders that builds only electric lift trucks. The company has corporate headquarters in New Bremen, Ohio, USA; Munich, Germany; and Sydney, Australia.
