A ‘fiery’ customer testimonial has Crown Australia glowing from its results.
Tip Top Bakeries was faced with a disaster early one Sunday morning when fire destroyed their Fairfield bakery. To make sure their business ran smoothly the next day, the company needed to step up production at their five other Australian operations.
The company called on Crown and wasn’t disappointed. “We knew that Crown could help us out especially on Sunday,” recalls Rodney Molla, NSW General Manager for Tip Top Bakeries.
"Within two hours, they delivered rental lift trucks to Ermington that guaranteed production flow by Sunday evening, ready for Monday’s fresh bread demand,” says Molla.
"Over the next 24 hours, they responded to further requests for rental lift trucks. Each time (Crown) they delivered on the day of our request,” he adds.
Crown even received a phone call from the ASX (Australian Stock Exchange) wanting to use the situation to illustrate “what customer response is all about and to use us (Crown) as an example of a customer-focussed company.”
