One of the nation’s most foremost manufacturing publications, The Manufacturer, recently printed a story titled "Lift Truck Manfacturers Have Found There’s More to Productivity Than Speed and Load Capacity".
In the article, Crown Senior Marketing Product Manager Matt Ranly points out nearly all of Crown’s lift trucks feature an electronic system (Access 123®) that points to problems when they arise. “The truck will tell you what particular part isn’t working," says Ranly. "When trucks go down, we want to minimize the amount of time they are down."
Maintaining structural integrity remains vital in providing a truck that will last customers for years, allowing for a strong return on investment, says Ranly. The story also emphasizes Crown’s dedication to vertical integration - 85 percent of the Crown truck is manufactured by Crown.
“We do it because when we’re designing or making parts, they’re designed to work together as a system. It’s something we’re proud of,” adds Ranly.
The story talks about the TSP 6000 Series Turret Stockpicker and how safety becomes critical as warehouses continue to get higher to maximize available space.
The Manufacturer reaches more than 31,000 senior managers and 18,000 manufacturing sites.
