Crown Product Makes Aviation Jobs Easier

Wave Work Assist demonstrationThroughout the country, the Wave® Work Assist Vehicle continues making an impact on aviation workplace professionals by demonstrating its ability to work efficiently and effectively around aircraft and in hangars.  The Wave makes their jobs easier and more productive.

“Ladders typically found in an aircraft maintenance workplace increase the risk of injury, reduce efficiency and complicate routine tasks.  In fact, the constant up-and-down on a ladder really wears down a worker,” observes one maintenance manager.  “I think what you have here is a product with an excellent application for our industry.”

The remarks followed a Wave presentation and demonstration for the Detroit market led by Crown Product Manager Rod Squires.  Aircraft maintenance professionals witnessed the Wave maneuvering around a corporate jet to simulate maintenance tasks the Wave can perform.

“Once you see the Wave working in aviation applications, you realize how much more effective it is over the current methods (rolling platforms, ladders, etc.) used in the industry. The Wave is a safe, efficient way to perform many routine maintenance tasks on a wide range of corporate aircraft,” says Squires.

Wave Work Assist DemonstrationThe Wave works effectively in many aviation situations like changing out batteries or engine components, performing inspections, moving tools and test equipment from engine to engine, washing and polishing the aircraft and general maintenance. Retrieving, positioning and installing items such as alternators or pumps that can weigh more than 80 lb is almost effortless with the Wave.

To sign up for a free 14-day Wave trial, contact Rod Squires at 1-800-WAV-AERO.
