The international design community continues to recognize the innovation behind Crown Equipment Corporation's TSP 6000 Series. The Turret Stockpicker was recently awarded the 2007 international red dot award: best of the best - one of only 43 products out of more than 2,500 entries to receive this recognition.
The best of the best designation is the highest distinction in the red dot award. Only pioneering top-class products receive this high level of achievement.
"We are pleased that the TSP 6000 has been recognized by the design community and our customers," said Crown Vice President - Design Center Mike Gallagher. "As we designed the TSP 6000, our goal was to create an innovative product that performed for our customers while enhancing operator confidence."
After meeting with operators, warehouse managers and others involved in the materials handling industry from 65 different sites, Crown introduced the TSP 6000 in August 2005. The TSP 6000 has several unique features addressing the needs of the very narrow-aisle market. In addition to blending several tasks simultaneously, the MoveControl™ seat swivels to four different positions for optimum flexibility while the Mono-Mast minimizes twisting and swaying through its exclusive design.
"The TSP 6000 continues the Crown legacy of innovative design that meets our customers’ demanding needs and improves their bottom line," said Gallagher.
In addition to the red dot award, Crown's TSP 6000 has been recognized by numerous other design organizations. It received a Silver IDEA Award from the Industrial Designers Society of America, the GOOD DESIGN Award from the Chicago and Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, and the iF product design award from the International Forum Design in Hanover, Germany.
