A.J. Jersey President Dave Rizzo accepts a special James F. Dicke Pioneer Award on behalf of his father, Pat Rizzo.
| During its annual dealer recognition program, Crown Equipment Corporation acknowledged Pat Rizzo, former president of A.J. Jersey, Inc., for his longtime contributions.
Jim Moran, Crown Senior Vice President, presented the special James F. Dicke Pioneer Award to Dave Rizzo, son of Pat and current president of A.J. Jersey, Inc., who accepted the award on his father’s behalf.
“We appreciate Pat’s contributions and the long association we enjoyed with him over the years. Pat was a material handling professional in every aspect, building his company from the ground up into the successful business it is today,” said Moran.
Pat began his material handling career in the 1950s as a salesman for a small New York City material handling distributor, where he first sold Crown E-Z Lifts. Later, Pat and a partner started their own company. In 1970, Pat founded A.J. Jersey, Inc. to serve the New Jersey market.
Over the years, A.J. Jersey, Inc. won numerous Crown awards; the company earned four consecutive Ascent Awards in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
