Crown has years of motor manufacturing experience, producing thousands of its DC motors for use worldwide. Crown put its manufacturing and engineering experience to use in embracing AC technology by building AC motors for its extensive line of electric forklifts.
AC motors lower the cost of ownership because they have no replaceable/wearable brushes. By eliminating these motor brushes, Crown-built AC motors reduce downtime costs related to inspecting and servicing the brushes or parts costs when buying new brushes.
