 Performance
All truck systems are managed by Crown's exclusive Access 123® Comprehensive System Control to optimize system performance in response to changing conditions. Built-in programmability and diagnostics eliminates the need for a laptop or handset.
The High Level Performance Package is standard on the SR 5000:

 Drive Unit/Drive Motor
Helical gear drive unit provides quiet, smooth operation and extended service life. The large Vulkollan drive tire is designed for high load capacity and long service intervals.
The powerful AC traction motor provides high torque and fast acceleration. The AC hydraulic motor delivers precise control for pallet placement and fast lift speeds. Both are designed for energy efficiency and low maintenance.
Control Levers
The modular design provides a choice of three control configurations featuring:
- fingertip operation,
- dual lever
- multi-task.
 Steering
Steering column is infinitely adjustable for the most comfortable operating position.

 Cold Conditioning
The SR 5000 is specially treated for protection in harsh environments. Chassis weld seams and studs are coated with a special wax-based corrosion preventative compound. Silicon sealer is applied to all exposed electrical connections and critical switching components are equipped with thermostatically controlled heaters. The motor compartment receives an additional layer of paint and a heavy coat of clear varnish to protect steel components. Specially formulated hydraulic oil and lubricants are used for optimal truck performance in temperatures to -20�F.
 Cabin Structure
The rugged cabin structure features a profiled steel frame, an extended roof with emergency escape hatch, and a heavy duty skirt welded to the chassis frame for added protection against unexpected damage.
 Brakes
All-wheel braking is standard for all load capacities to provide superb control and confidence, particularly when placing a load at heights.

 Visibility
All-around visibility is enhanced by large heated windows, front, top and rear wipers, an angled roof design and a unique third corner window. The special contoured front window enhances downward visibility to the forks and load wheels. There's even a reading light to assist the operator in dimly lit areas.
 Operator Safety & Comfort
The SR 5000 is loaded with features that make the most of the operator's time. A wide, adjustable suspension seat with lumbar support provides all-day comfort. Your choice of three different control designs are built into the armrest for consistent positioning regardless of seat adjustment. Useful details such as clipboards and storage pockets allow you to customize the workspace to suit specific needs.
 Serviceability
An integrated control system with Access 1 2 3® diagnostics provides immediate access to critical information on any fault condition without the need for a handset or laptop. Crown's unique InfoPoint® component mapping simplifies troubleshooting and servicing without the need for complicated schematics and wiring diagrams.
A high level of serviceability simplifies maintenance and prolongs equipment life.
