Accessories and Modifications / Wheel and Tire Options

Tire compound type, hardness and tread pattern can affect traction, braking, stability, ride and longevity. Travel distance, load weight, floor and sealer type, dock use, freezer use, wet floor use, truck stability requirements, etc. all affect the combination of compound, hardness and tread pattern needed to optimize performance and life.

Crown provides a wide variety of wheel and tire options to accommodate your specific application needs. These include a wide variety of hardness and compound options and a wide variety of "siped" or cut tread patterns to provide better traction and braking in wet or slippery environments.

Some tire options such as rubber and other very soft compounds may not be right for your lift truck. Many models have minimum tire hardness requirements to provide stability at higher lift heights.

Your Crown Dealer can help you select the right combination of compound, hardness and tread pattern to optimize traction, performance and tire life in your application.
