2. What personal information do we collect and why?
2.1 In general, you can visit our websites without providing us with personal information such as your name or your contact details.
2.2 When you visit our websites our webservers will temporarily record technical details including the IP-address of your computer or device or the type of browser and operating system you use to make our websites available to you. When you access our website from a mobile device we may collect information such as unique device identifiers for your mobile device, your screen resolution and other device settings.
2.4 If you send us a request using our contact form, your details from the contact form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing the request and in the event of follow-up questions. We process your personal data in order to process and respond to your request (Art. 6 par. 1 b) GDPR). In addition to your request, we use your contact details to keep you informed about our products, services and events. However, we will only do this if you have given us your consent in connection with your request via the contact form.
2.5 When you register with one of our services we may collect the following information from you: your name, your contact details including your e-mail address and telephone number, details on the company you work with, the user name you chose as well as your password. When you use our services after login we will collect information on your use of our services. The processing of your personal data in this context is necessary for the performance of our services being offered (Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR).
3. What information do we share, with whom and why?
3.1 Crown Gabelstapler GmbH & Co. KG belongs to the Crown Group. In order to provide you with our services, your personal information may be shared with other companies belonging to the Crown Group both inside and outside of the European Economic Area (i.e. all countries of the European Union together with Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). The transfer and processing of your personal data is necessary in order to make our services available to you (Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR).
If we transfer your personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area without an adequate level of data protection, we take appropriate measures prior to each transfer to ensure that your personal data is well protected at all times, in particular standard data protection clauses adopted by supervisory authorities. 3.2 When we ask third parties to provide us with services for example with regard to IT-Services that may affect personal information we only do so upon prior conclusion of a data processing agreement which binds our service providers to the strict data protection requirements under within the European Union. In such case we will remain responsible for protecting your personal information and will ensure that our supplier adheres to all data protection requirements.
3.3 If you make a request regarding our products or brochures, we may share your contact details and the request you made with our local distributors to enable them to handle your request and provide you with the required information. We have a legitimate interest in the transfer of your personal data to our dealers in order to be able to meet your request as best as possible (Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR).
3.4 We will further disclose personal information if we are required to do so by law or administrative or court order (Art. 6 para. 1 c) GDPR).
3.5 Other than that we will not share your personal information unless we have asked you to consent in the disclosure. The legal basis for doing so is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR).

4.1 Most Cookies used by our websites are Session Cookies. Session Cookies allow our websites to link the actions of a user during a browser session. We have implemented extensive technical and organisational measures to ensure your personal information is safely protected at any time. These measures are subject to regular reviews and are adapted according to safety requirements.
8. Retention period
The criteria for the duration of the storage of personal data are the legal retention periods. After expiry of this period, we routinely delete the corresponding data, provided that it is no longer necessary for the performance or initiation of the contract. If the storage purpose ceases to apply or if a storage period prescribed by the European Directive and Regulation legislator or another competent legislator expires, the personal data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.
