Crown manufactures electric lift trucks used in transporting materials and goods in warehouses, distribution centers and manufacturing environments throughout the world.

Crown is the number one brand of electric lift trucks in the United States and the sixth largest lift truck manufacturer in the world. The company's full product line includes pedestrian hand pallet trucks, powered pallet trucks and stackers, sit-down and stand-up counterbalanced trucks, reach trucks, very narrow-aisle turret trucks, order picking equipment and forklift trucks.
In Europe, Crown has maintained a presence beginning in the late 1960s. Major European growth took place in 1987 with the establishment of a European corporate headquarters in Munich, Germany. Today, 1,000 company employees among Crown's global workforce of over 7,600 are working in the company's European operations.
The European headquarters also serves to coordinate the activities of 15 company sales and service facilities. Eight of these company-owned operations are located in Germany, five more in the UK, and one each in Belgium and the Netherlands. An ISO 9001 certified European production site builds Crown lift trucks in Roding, Germany.
The European design and engineering team also is based in Munich. Working with teams from the United States and Australia on global products, they undertake new product design, development of state-of-the-art truck systems, as well as improvements and the customization of products to meet specific user requirements. Over the years, the Crown design teams have been very successful, earning more than 50 prominent design awards for Crown lift trucks.
