LO Order Picker Refresher

Objective

To provide the participant with the skills and knowledge to undertake activities related to Forklift (LF) Operation, as defined by AS 2359.2. Training and evaluation provides the employer with evidence of operator skills and knowledge as part of the process for “verification of competency” and subsequent authorisation by employer to safely access and operate a lift truck.

Course Outcomes
  • Plan and prepare for Forklift operations
  • Shift load using a Forklift in high reach applications
  • Shut down Forklift and secure site
  • Hazard management
  • Refuelling – battery, gas or diesel

  • Conduct routine checks

Assessment: Written Theory Evaluation & Practical Driving Test

Course Prerequisites
  • Basic English literacy, language & numeracy (LLN)
  • Forklift (LF) High Risk Work Licence
  • Session Duration: 3 hours or 3.5hrs (LF or LO only) or 4 hours (LF/LO combined)
Groups:

Maximum 5 operators – 3 hours (LF or LO only)

Maximum 6 operators – 3.5 hours (LF or LO only)

Maximum 5 operators – 4 hours (LF/LO combined)

Training records: Certification of operator skills and knowledge for each equipment type.

Types of Lift Trucks: all makes & models of rider reach trucks, sit-down & stand-up counter-balance reach trucks, rider reach and reach double deep.

This is training does not lead to nationally recognised qualification.
