Crown Equipment Senior Vice President Elected as Chair of the Industrial Truck Association’s Board of Directors

Jim Mozer to provide guidance as the industry faces safety, regulatory and technological challenges

NEW BREMEN, Ohio, (January 20, 2026) – Crown Equipment, one of the world’s largest material handling companies, today announced that Jim Mozer, senior vice president, has been elected Chair of the Board of Directors of the Industrial Truck Association (ITA) effective January 1, 2026.

 

Mozer has been an active ITA leader and advocate for many years, contributing to the association’s mission and governance. He previously served as Chair of National Forklift Safety Day, playing a key role in advancing industry-wide collaboration on safety education and awareness. Mozer’s nearly four decades of leadership experience in industrial and material handling products is demonstrated by a distinguished track record of engineering, sales, marketing and global business success.

 

“Our industry is facing one of the most important and transformative periods in its history,” Mozer said. “As a leading advocate of truck manufacturers, suppliers and stakeholders for more than 70 years, the ITA has a critical role to play in the face of rapid change and new challenges. It’s an honor to be selected as Chair of the ITA Board as we work together to help our members grow, improve safety, develop innovative products and keep the supply chain strong.”

 

As Chair, Mozer will work closely with ITA leadership to advance the organization’s 2026 goals, including advocacy efforts related to safety, evolving regulatory and trade policies and emerging technologies such as automation and artificial intelligence. Key events during his term include the ITA’s National Forklift Safety Day scheduled June 9, 2026, and the 26th Alliance of Industrial Truck Organizations (A.I.T.O.) meeting in Phoenix September 23–26, 2026.

 

Mozer earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Wright State University and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to joining Crown Equipment, he held a series of senior leadership roles with Emerson Climate Technologies, each with increasing global responsibility.
