SDCE Recognizes Crown for Continued Sustainability Efforts

NEW BREMEN, Ohio (January 25, 2021) – Supply & Demand Chain Executive has named Crown, one of the world’s largest material handling companies, as a recipient of its 2021 Green Supply Chain award. This award recognizes companies that prioritize sustainability as a core part of their supply chain strategy and is among the more than 25 sustainability awards that the company has received.

“Our commitment to the environment is built into everything we do. Sustainability continues to integrate into every process at Crown,” said Tonja Rammel, Crown’s director of corporate environmental and manufacturing safety. “Protecting the environment is a belief held throughout Crown. It is reflected in our corporate culture, our day-to-day business processes, and our manufacturing operations. It is especially evident in our products, which are designed to be more efficient and last longer.”

Crown has thoughtfully and intentionally made environmental stewardship a top priority for decades. The company works to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient lift trucks that use fewer parts, require less maintenance, produce less waste, and last longer while enhancing the customer experience through improved productivity, the low total cost of ownership, and reduced environmental impacts. A total of six Crown facilities have attained zero-landfill status.
