Crown Continues to Expand Internal Combustion Forklift Line

New C-G Series cushion tire models join growing lineup of LPG and diesel forklifts

NEW BREMEN, Ohio (Oct. 20, 2026) – Crown Equipment, one of the world’s largest material handling companies, continues to expand its internal combustion (IC) counterbalance forklift line, offering cushion tire and pneumatic tire models powered by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or diesel with capacities ranging from 3,000 to 55,000 pounds. The latest additions are four C-G Series LPG-powered cushion tire forklifts with capacities from 4,000 to 6,500 pounds.

“An application may require moving loads of multiple sizes across varying terrain,” said Joe Bach, product manager, Crown Equipment. “We’ve continued expanding our internal combustion line so fleet managers have more options for matching lift capacity, tire and fuel type to the work they do.”

The new C-G Series 4,000 – 6,500 lb cushion tire LPG forklifts are designed for indoor use as well as indoor/outdoor transitions with improved surface conditions. Each model features a 59-horsepower LPG engine engineered for reliable performance across a wide range of applications. A 90-amp alternator helps maintain the forklift battery while powering electronic devices.

Operator features include a static or suspension seat, tilt steering, parking brake alarm, seat belt indicator and ample legroom. The mast design positions hydraulic hoses and chains near the uprights to provide clear sightlines, while a low-profile dashboard further improves forward visibility. Optional Tilt Position Assist helps operators return the mast to vertical, simplifying fork positioning.

A heavy-duty cast aluminum cooling system provides separate engine and transmission cooling to reduce operating temperatures and extend powertrain life. Sealed, oil-cooled disc brakes help protect internal components from dirt, water and other contaminants to extend brake life. Crown backs the brake system with a five-year or 10,000-hour warranty.

Crown’s expansive service network provides access to replacement parts and technical expertise through the Crown Integrity Service System, helping customers reduce downtime.
